Getting Started
How do I add my first account?
Open BenitoCoin and tap the + button on the Accounts tab. Give your account a name (e.g. "Checking"), choose a currency, set an opening balance, and tap Save. You can add as many accounts as you like.
Does BenitoCoin require an account or login?
No. BenitoCoin is completely local-first — no sign-up, no login, no cloud account required. Your data lives entirely on your device. Optional iCloud sync is coming in a future update for cross-device convenience.
Which currencies are supported?
BenitoCoin supports all currencies provided by the Exchange Rate API, covering 160+ currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, AUD, CHF, CNY, and many more. Exchange rates are refreshed automatically when you open the app.
iCloud Sync
Is iCloud sync available now?
Not yet — iCloud sync is on the roadmap and will be released in a future update. When it arrives, it will be optional and opt-in. Your data syncs through your own iCloud account, so ArcAvance never sees it.
Will my existing data transfer when iCloud sync launches?
Yes. When you choose to enable iCloud sync, the app will migrate your existing local data to iCloud automatically. You'll be able to review and confirm before anything is uploaded.
BenitoCoin Pro
How do I restore my Pro subscription after reinstalling?
Tap Restore Purchases on the Pro screen (found in Settings or the upgrade prompt). Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Restoration is instant and free.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad, find BenitoCoin, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Can I use Pro on multiple devices?
Yes. Any device signed in with the same Apple ID can restore your Pro subscription at no extra cost using the Restore Purchases button.
Data & Privacy
Is my financial data backed up?
BenitoCoin itself does not currently back up your data to the cloud. However, if you have iCloud Backup enabled in iOS Settings, your device backup will include BenitoCoin's local data. Optional iCloud sync (coming soon) will provide more granular, on-demand sync across devices.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings → Export inside BenitoCoin. You can export your transactions as a CSV file and share it via AirDrop, Files, email, or any other app on your device.
Does BenitoCoin track me or share my data?
No. BenitoCoin contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external network request is an anonymous call to fetch exchange rates. When iCloud sync launches, your data goes to your own iCloud — not to ArcAvance. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Troubleshooting
Exchange rates aren't updating — what should I do?
Make sure your device has an active internet connection. Pull down to refresh on the main screen to trigger a manual rate update. If the problem persists, the exchange rate service may be temporarily unavailable — rates will update automatically once connectivity is restored.
I accidentally deleted a transaction. Can I recover it?
Deleted transactions cannot currently be recovered from within the app. If you have an iCloud Backup from before the deletion, you can restore your device from that backup. We recommend exporting your data regularly as a precaution. iCloud sync (coming soon) will also make recovery easier.
